About me

My name is Luke Tarbet. I am a certified ocean lifeguard Lieutenant and have been teaching swim lessons since 2020. I work with swimmers ages 4 and up, focusing on building confidence, strong technique, and real water-safety skills across the Hamptons.

The Lessons

Serving the Hamptons, each lesson is tailored to the individual swimmer. From beginners to competitive athletes, to aspiring lifeguards. The lessons take place in private pools or open water depending on goals and comfort level.

Local Experience

My experience is rooted in both competitive swimming and professional lifeguarding. I spent 12 years swimming competitively and served actively as captain on two swim teams. As a lifeguard, I ran safety operations at Georgica beach for two years, I coach the East Hampton Village junior lifeguard program, I personally run the lifeguard cadet program, and I am a certified Lifeguard test proctor.

Additional Experience

In addition to my work locally, I recently had the opportunity to teach lifeguard techniques to groups of local surfers in Nicaragua, pictured below.
